Unrepresented minorities and women are dangerously under-represented in the world of cybersecurity. This workforce gap presents a real and significant threat to our technology infrastructure around the world. There are several layers to the overall challenge of populating our profession with a more diverse and culturally representative workforce—recruiting new talent to our community, assessing their skills, training these aspiring cyber professionals, funding their education, and then matching the new face of cybersecurity with employers and recruiters in dire need of a more diverse workforce.
