Our Story

The International Consortium of Minority Cybersecurity Professionals (ICMCP) was founded to address a stark reality: the cybersecurity industry suffered from a severe lack of diversity, particularly in the representation of women and minorities. This underrepresentation created a "cyber divide" that limited the industry's talent pool and potential. As ICMCP's impact and reach grew, the organization rebranded itself as Cyversity in 2021. This new name better reflected its commitment to building a diverse and inclusive cybersecurity workforce.
