Course offering:

  • 12 weeks hands on lectures, labs and homework that walks you through the entirety of Governance, Risk and Compliance, including:
    • Understanding Risk
    • Writing Policies and Procedures
    • Documenting cybersecurity posture
    • Explaining Gaps in cybersecurity posture
    • Reporting the security posture to leadership
    • Performing gap assessments
    • Hands on practice in a GRC application
    • Understanding NIST documentation and the Risk Management Framework
  • Guidance and education from a seasoned GRC professional
  • Resume and skill-building experience to assist landing an entry level or intermediate GRC role
  • Certificate of participation

How it works:

  • Every week the cohort meets on Monday evenings for the lecture, and given the homework assignment.
  • Fridays the cohort meets to discuss the assignment, ask follow on questions, and review the weekly topics
  • At the end of the 12 weeks, participants will complete a presentation of an organization’s security posture, based on policies written, compliance input answered, and remediations.
  • Upon completion of that final report, certificates will be mailed out.

We know you have busy lives and folks to take care of. If you’re unable to attend any of the meetings, documentation will be provided for you to complete the assignment and review on your own. Additional 1:1 office hours will be available if you have any questions or would like to review your work. Certifications will be issued to all participants who complete all required weekly tasks.
