The Biden-Harris Administration unveiled the National Cyber Workforce and Education Strategy (NCWES) in July 2023, a first-of-its-kind comprehensive approach aimed at addressing both immediate and long-term cyber workforce needs. Filling the hundreds of thousands of cyber job vacancies across our nation is a national security imperative and the Administration is making generational investments to prepare our country to lead in the digital economy. Moreover, there is a critical need to grow and enhance the cyber workforce through improving its diversity and inclusion. It is paramount that all talent including gender, ethnicity and culture are not only included but welcome in the workforce.
Cyversity’s mission is to achieve the consistent representation of women, underrepresented minorities, and all veterans in the cybersecurity industry through programs designed to diversify, educate, and empower. Cyversity tackles the ‘great cyber divide’ with scholarship opportunities, diverse workforce development, innovative outreach, and mentoring programs. Cyversity Atlanta’s registered apprenticeship program, in partnership with Safal Partners, U.S. DOL National Industry Intermediary, provides companies with cutting-edge cybersecurity training to skill and upskill technology professionals.
