It’s been more than 35 years since I took my first step into “infosec/commsec”. Almost always, when I address or speak to an individual or group, one of the most frequently asked question(s) is how did you get to the level you are now, surely you did not start there? What path did you take and how can I achieve a leadership position/role in cybersecurity?

Come, sit with me, as we walk through 40 mins (quick-step) of knowledge, skills, abilities and experience of a cybersecurity professional. In addition, we will briefly discuss leadership and the different paths one can take to achieve excellence and self- satisfaction/actualization.

Speaker:
Stanton Gatewood, US DHS/CISA -R4 Cyber Security Coordinator for the State of Georgia and South Carolina
Former CISO for the State of Georgia (Ret.), Board of Regents of the University System of Georgia and the University of Georgia

Moderator:
Cassandra Dacus, Cyversity Atlanta Chapter President
